The CX Story
Back in 2009, having a medium to large ortho practice, I was frustrated with the prices I was paying for supplies. It seemed like I was always “paying on my account” with the big bracket companies but never making much progress. I was being offered “discounts” for making a huge order, but when I wanted to reorder brackets in smaller quantities, I was forced to pay exorbitant prices.
One gimmick I’ve never been a fan of is the offer of “free” goods that aren’t even close to free. Using a credit to pay for “free” supplies that are marked up 3–4x over market prices never seemed like a good deal to me.
So that’s when I decided to go direct! After many failed attempts at finding excellent quality brackets at reasonable prices, I finally found a company that came through for me. Using the newfound supplier and with more industry contacts, I decided to expand and find numerous other quality supplies for my practice.
That’s when I started CX! I built a website over the weekend, made some announcements on message boards, and the customers started appearing.
I’m very proud that we’ve grown CX into a company that can be counted on for EXCELLENT QUALITY along with EXCELLENT VALUE, two invaluable qualities that we need to survive as well as flourish in the orthodontic market today.
After 31 years, my practice has grown even bigger, and I’m still loving orthodontics. Thank you, everyone, for your support for over 15 years!
